HOW IT WORKS

Working with Foodie Folk is very personal. We arrange an initial consultation to discuss your day and create your ideal menu. We then follow up with your personalised quote.

What is not Included

A venue Kitchen Fee may be in addition.

We may not be able to provide linens or table glassware for private venues.

Securing your date

We require a £1000 deposit to secure your booking and will require you to sign a contract. Your deposit will be taken off your balance when final payment is due. Your deposit is non-refundable.

Payment Schedule

Once your deposit is paid, we don’t require any further payment until 2 weeks before your wedding.

Planning your wedding

Once your date is secured we will be on hand to respond to any queries throughout the process. We will meet (or chat on the phone) approximately 6 weeks before your wedding to work through the finer details such as timings, dietary requirements, room plan, table plan etc. We are happy to meet/discuss plans at any time.

Tastings

We offer Tastings during the quieter months of the year. Price will be £60pp and will include a selection of canapes, sharing mains and desserts. Tastings are private and are in 2 hour slots, family members are welcome to come along.

Our Staff

When it comes to the day, our food is prepared on site by our talented kitchen team. Our waiting staff will be on hand to run the service, clear up and look after your guests.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Sharing Platters

We do not require you to ask guests to make any choices, guests can have some of everything. For any guests with a dietary requirement there will be a plated alternative if required. For example, if a guest is vegetarian they will get a plated meat alternative, they can then choose their sides from the Sharing Platters.

Dietary Requirements

We cater for any guests who are vegetarian, vegan or who have an allergy or intolerance to particular foods. For canape service a separate plate will be given to each guest with a dietary requirement.

Kids Meals (under 12’s)

Childrens meals are charged at £20 provided there are a minimum of 100 full paying guests.

Children can have the same as the adults or we offer Chicken Goujons or Hot Dogs and Chips.

Wine and Water

On each table we will provide jugs of water. Jugs will be replenished during service. As most venues let you bring your own wine, we serve the wine to the tables. Please let us know if you would like the wine poured (there may be an extra charge for this service). In certain venues the bar will provide the service of wine and/or water.

Supplier Meals

Some suppliers will ask for a meal to be provided eg. photographer, videographer. We offer this at half price to your guest price.

Table Setup

We will set your tables with tablecloths, napkins, crockery & cutlery, salt and pepper sets, 1 x water glass, 1 x wine glass and a champagne flute for toasting if required (in some venues the bar will provide the table glassware). Where possible table setup will be done one or two days before your wedding (sometimes this isn’t possible if there is a wedding the day before). Once tables are set you can then arrange your places names, centre pieces and any favours.

Cake Cutting

Included in our service is the provision of a cake knife and the cutting and serving of your wedding cake.

Can you bring your own Food

Unfortunately due to our Health and Safety policy we are unable to allow couples to provide any food. We can accommodate external suppliers (E.g. Pizza van) provided that they have their own staff to serve and clear up after themselves.
